Third Weaving: Waterfowl Play [Video/Action]

Accidental Video

[The kidnapping at least had been quiet. Moiraine hadn't seen or felt anything when the droids came and took her from her bed, shift and all. But when she'd woken up, she'd born the experimentation with a quiet dignity befitting an Initiate of the White Tower. But inside, she seethed, not that it'd done any good.

And now that she'd been returned she was no less livid. Waking up in the forest was one thing. Waking up in the forest naked another. But this...oh...Light! This was something entirely new. Dark feathers ruffled and fluttered as she climbed to her feet, realizing that she was now looking up at bushes she'd have looked down on before the experiment. Casting about, she...waddled...awkwardly over to a nearby stream and squawked in shock.]

L...ight!

[To her surprise...words do come out, though warped and warbled through the bird-beak. That freaks her out more and she inspects herself closer. Some sort of...bird?

Another warbling cry later, she shuffles over to her journal and realizes that it has indeed been on the entire time.]

W-what?! What under the Light is...Siuan? Anyone? Am...I...a...bird? Or am I seeing things? What day is it? What season is it? How long have I been gone?

And how am I supposed to bloody well return to normal?

[A while later, Moiraine the Loon can be found flapping along through town, or perched on top of the fountain, or perhaps swimming in it. The desire to be near water is undeniably strong, and it has nothing to do with spirits and everything to do with the fact that she is now a waterfowl.]

((ooc: Moiraine is now a loon. A talking Canadian bird. Replies will come from loonsedai))

comments

Second Weaving: Bel Tine. [Action/Written]

[Moiraine has spent the last month or so settling into her home and practically living out of the library. She's scoured every book she can possibly find on her own world, history, magic, even stories and fables and parables from other worlds. Some of it's been useful, like giving her ideas for new ways to wield the Power, while others have proven to be nothing more than idle time spent with her nose buried in a book.

But today is a bit different. In the Westlands, it would be about the proper time for Bel Tine, and doing anything that even resembled work was all but forbidden on such a day. Besides, it's been a while since she truly had the time for personal enjoyment, and there are few things Moiraine Damodred likes more than riding and with no pressing matters to attend to, she'll stop by the stables to saddle and bridle Aldieb before taking the white mare out for a good long ride through the spring air. She'll be riding down to the southern lake and back at a fairly easy pace, just enjoying a trot through the forest before returning to town. During the afternoon she can be seen around House 27, opening up windows and doing a bit of sweeping outside to keep the place neat and tidy. Siuan...is not the best for such things, and that was one little bit of custom she was willing to break in order to have a clean home.

During the evening, the Aes Sedai can be found at Good Spirits, thinking on things that have occurred since the last Bel Tine. She'll be sitting at a corner table, sipping a drink slowly throughout the night. She's more than happy for company, anyone coming over greeted with a smile.

Sometime during the afternoon, she sends out a Written message as well, more for her own curiosity than anything.]

Good Day Luceti,

I understand that this was a long winter for the land here, but I for one am glad to know that spring has finally arrived. In my world, the first few weeks of spring are when the celebration of Bel Tine occurs. A festival for young love, the end of winter, prayers for a good harvest and new beginnings. Are there any such celebrations in your own worlds for the coming of spring?

Secondly, I am seeking a partner for a little bit of exercise. I fear I have fallen out of practice with my staff and I should like to find someone to train my reflexes back to where they should be.

And finally, I should like to thank whoever manages the stables here. I greatly appreciate your services in tending to Aldieb, as is she. If there is some way I might repay you, I would be more than willing to offer my help however I can.

Regards,

Moiraine.

[Even here, she still pointedly leaves off her House name, for reasons known only to Siuan.]

(ooc: Catch Moiraine anywhere! In town, at the stables, down by the lake, in the woods, at the bar!)

comments

First Weaving: The Wheel Weaves... [Action/Voice]

[Action, Locked to Siuan and Moiraine]

[Moiraine and Siuan shift uncomfortably in the snowy wind blowing into one of the New Feather watch stations, frozen fingers crawling up their exposed skin. They two women shiver, and blearily sit up, shaking their heads in confusion. Where were they? This certainly wasn't Lord Agelmar's Keep, and how had winter returned so suddenly, when spring had only just arrived? To say nothing of the missing Bonds with their Warders, or the aching feeling on their backs.

A lot of questions bubble up into Moiraine's mind as she wearily looks around, but she shoves them aside for the moment. Calm first, basic needs second, then the questions. It takes only a moment to spot Siuan, and begin to shake her awake. Perplexed, but not fearful, she speaks softly into the taller woman's ear]

Mother? Siuan? Wake up.

[Voice/Action in the Forest/Town:]

[After some time, the two Aes Sedai decided to attempt using these strange ter'angreal, in the hope of gleaning more information. The guide had been somewhat informative, but they were still in the shelter. And of course, they are both fiddling with their journals.]

I hope that this functioning properly, but I do not know. Siuan, are you able to see this in your own?

[A pause, the feed cutting out for a moment. They both agreed that Moiraine would probably be better to address the network at large. Or rather, Moiraine had decided it while Siuan fumed and swore.]

Good day to you, if you are able to see this broadcast. My name is Moiraine, and I am here with my Sister Siuan. It appears as though both of us have been brought to this...place, and will be joining you in captivity. If there is anyone who is willing to answer some questions, and direct us to the nearest place to obtain warm clothing, we would both greatly appreciate it.

[Another pause, the sounds of unintelligible whispering]

And...directions to a place we can find a hot meal would also be appreciated.

[Eventually the pair will make their way to town, with or without answers, ageless Aes Sedai faces looking harried and decidedly unhappy about their situation.]

[OOC: This is a joint post from Moiraine Damodred and Siuan Sanche. Expect Siuan to threadjack anything and everything, and to be grouchy about it.]

comments
